The First Kenya-Iran Trade Summit

On 21st January, 2024- Partnering with the Iran House of Industry, Mine and Trade (IHIMT) and Iran Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), the Embassy hosted the First Iran-Trade Summit as a follow-up to Iran’s president visit to Kenya. His Excellency Amb. Joshua I. Gatimu EBS, former Iran Ambassador to Kenya Ambassador Jaffar Barmaki and leaders of the trade organizations graced the event where they engaged the participants in addressing the challenges they face while trading with Kenya. The importance of Kenya as a gateway to East Africa and Africa in general was emphasized. The Embassy further availed Kenyan tea and coffee cupping opportunity and showcased Kenya’s handicrafts and touristic potentials.
