The first Iranian firms to import sheep meat from Kenya to Iran under the agreed frameworks

On 23rd November, 2023- His Excellency Ambassador Joshua I. Gatimu, EBS met with Dr. Masoud Namazi and Mr. Mehdi Dadfar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jahan Saderat Sina Company and Deputy CEO of Jihad Esteghlal Institute both under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture. The companies are the first Iranian firms to import sheep meat from Kenya to Iran under the agreed frameworks of cooperation during Iran’s President visit to Kenya. The meeting discussed issues including how to increase the volume of the shipments and bottlenecks emanating from logistics both in Iran and in Kenya.

The CEOs informed the Ambassador of their visit to Kenya to inspect one of the sheep’s holding areas in Kenya. The Ambassador promised to continue promoting diversification of Kenya’s export products to Iran.
