President Uhuru nominates CS Monica Juma for top Commonwealth post

His Excellency Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, CGH., President of the Republic of Kenya nominated Ambassador Dr. Monica Juma, (Oxon), EGH, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Defence for the position of the next Secretary-General of the Commonwealth.

The election of the Secretary-General will take place during the next Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) due to be held in Kigali, Rwanda sometime in 2021/22.
