Jamhuri Day Celebrations

Jamhuri Day Celebrations

Today is the day our beautiful flag was hoisted for the first time on 12th December, 1963, announcing the birth of an Independent State. As we express our gratitude for Fifty Seven (57) Years of freedom, we take the opportunity to reflect on our achievement since independence and the challenges that we face. Today, our country continues to witness growth advanced by excellent homegrown policies; that aims at addressing our challenges, transforming and strengthening our economy.

The Kenyans in Diaspora and all Friends of Kenya in the Islamic Republic of Iran play a significant role on the Development of our beautiful country. Kenya Embassy will continue to support ideas and efforts contributed towards the same.

As you understand, the 57th JAMHURI DAY celebration is held when the world is facing the COVID-19 pandemic. We will therefore, not host a reception to celebrate the occasion as we normally do. I wish all Kenyans and Friends of Kenya in the Islamic Republic of Iran a HAPPY JAMHURI DAY.

Welcome to Kenya. KARIBU KENYA.
