H.E. the Ambassador attended the 3rd International Sustainable City Conference and Exhibition held in Kish Island

H.E. the Ambassador attended the 3rd International Sustainable City Conference and Exhibition held in Kish Island, Iran between 13th and 16th October, 2025. AS part of the itinerary, the Ambassador on 15th October 2025 paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mohammad Jafar Kabiri, the Governor of Kish Island.

The discussions focused on opportunities within the framework of the Kenya – Iran bilateral instruments. In particular, H.E. the Governor and the Ambassador explored the potential for the business community in Kish Island to import Kenyan coffee, tea, meat and cut flowers. Similarly, Kish Island, which is Free Trade Zone, both welcomes investment by Kenyans and equally has capacity to export among others high quality and competitively priced construction goods.
