H.E Amb. Joshua Gatimu met Kenyan business individuals packing Kenyan tea in chabahar Free Zone Area in Iran

On 12th September, 2022 the Ambassador met Kenyan business individuals packing Kenyan tea in chabahar Free Zone Area in Iran. Chabahar Port is situated in the Gulf of Oman and operated by Iran and India. Demand for Kenyan tea and coffee are in high demand in the zone, which serves as an entry point to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, part of Pakistan , Afghanistan etc. This is the second investment by a Kenyan in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The meeting discussed on opportunities for importing to Iran and specifically through Chabahar other Kenyan Export products including coffee and tropical fruits.
