Hosting a section of Kenyan diaspora in Iran for the Jamhuri day 2023.

On 7th December, 2023- His Excellency Ambassador Joshua I. Gatimu, EBS hosted a group of Kenyans studying and living in Qom, in Islamic Republic of Iran as part of our upcoming Jamhuri Day celebrations. We provided various consular services ranging from passport applications for newborns, education documents and marriage certificates attestations and diaspora registration of those who have not been registered with the Embassy. The Kenyans appreciated His Excellency’s commitment to protect diaspora interests and in particular the formation of the State Department for Diaspora Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

The engagement with Kenyans was successful and the Ambassador emphasized on their role and importance in national developments. I also disseminated information regarding the diaspora conference that will take place from 13th December, 2023.
